My go to for quick lunch. Their Hwae Dup Bapp Korean Poke bowl is full of fresh sashimi including Salmon, Toro, and Halibut for $17.99! Must try.

There have been lots of Korean style sashimi places that come and go over dacades in Koreatown, I think this place is one of the few places keeping business so far. This place is always packed with old-timers who miss fresh sashimi and various side dishes, so I recommend to visit in non-peak hours. You know the restaurant is good when they are on the business for a long time with continuous customers.

tldr; amazing food and portions, great service, cozy vibes I was really craving halibut sashimi and wanted to find a place that would serve it Korean style. I think in OC/LA, this is the only place I was able to find. Before I visited, I was a little nervous because the price seemed steep at about $70 per person for a 2-person set. After visiting, I can confirm that I think it is totally worth it - and you can probably feed 3 people with the 2 person combo. We went on a weekday and there was only 1 other party seated at the time we arrived. I recall only about 8 tables? So may get busy for dinner/weekends! Free and large parking lot in the complex. The course was halibut sashimi 광어회 and other cuts of raw seafood. We also were served tons of other sides like salad, soup, porridge, salmon nigiri, and spicy seafood soup 해물탕. It was soooooo good and the seafood was really fresh. They also had live octopus (산낙지), which was also so fresh and delicious. It's not common for restaurants in the States to do this, so I had to get a bite of that as well! I think even if we're not there for the whole set meal, I will be back here to try some of their other dishes. A lot of people that were there when we were there got the raw fish bibimbap, which seemed like a really fair amount for the price.

Special place where my dad and I always go whenever we run errands together in LA. There is a place called Jang Soo Sushi Bar Restaurant in Hawaiian Garden that my family is a regular, which I will review it soon. However, this restaurant is a replica of that place, which I love. Fresh sashimi, various side dishes and delicious extra sushi on the house, the price might be pricy but I don't mind paying for the quality. Their presentation is also superb. From the sushi men to the servers, they are flawless. Love the fact that they use the stainless steel cups and dishes because that means they sanitizes them. The restaurant might be small but the excellence of their customer service and professionalism on handling assorted fishes are great. Note that they close at 2pm and reopen at 4pm everyday except on Sundays. They open 3pm-9:30pm on Sundays.

Our family has been coming here for 10+ years so I will remain a faithful follower. Only recently have I brought a few friends here. It's been a tradition within family to come here for celebrations and then over the years several times a year. Without fail, we always do the sashimi course menu with the lobster and although it's been the four of us forever with now an addition to the family, it's enough food for 4 if you order for 3. I think compared to other places, it's a bit pricier, but for the quality, freshness, and quantity, you get more bang for your buck along with tons of quality side dishes. I've also had the mul-hwe (translates directly to water squid) which was pretty good and the live octopus! Love me some good live octopus with some sesame oil and cho-gochujang! Just a heads up parking is pretty tight during peak hours and they don't take reservations during the weekends. My friends and I waited over an hour place and ended up going to a Kim's run nearby in the meantime! Hehe.

Smaller sized restaurant with a good staff. At a glance you won't notice the restaurant but I highly suggest dropping by for fresh fish and side dishes. My party got both sashimi combo sets for about 8 people and along with drinks and side dishes. The entire dish was so well sliced and perfectly chewy. Along with dipping sauces the experience was memorable. Service was quick and thoughtful. It felt like I was over for dinner For a larger group, I'd recommend calling to let them know of party size for preparation
